HOW OUR MEDICAL REVIEW &
NEXUS LETTER PROCESS WORKS
Veteran Nexus Advisors follows a structured, medical-first process designed to ensure that Nexus Letters are prepared only when medically appropriate and supported by evidence. This page explains each step and helps you choose the correct service.
STEP 1: PURCHASE YOUR MEDICAL RECORD REVIEW (REQUIRED)
Start by purchasing the Medical Record Review service. This initiates your case and unlocks secure document submission so your provider can review your records
STEP 2: UPLOAD YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS SECURELY (REQUIRED)
After purchase, upload your VA and private medical records using the secure upload system. Your provider cannot evaluate your case without the documentation you submitted.
Examples of helpful documents may include: VA treatment notes, private medical records, diagnostic imaging reports, specialist reports, and relevant personal or lay statements.
Incomplete or delayed uploads may delay scheduling and review timelines.

STEP 3: RECEIVE YOUR BOOKING LINK VIA EMAIL FOR A 1:1 PROVIDER REVIEW
Once your purchase is complete and your records are uploaded, you will receive a link to schedule your 1:1 Zoom Medical Record Review with a licensed medical provider.
Please check your spam email!
STEP 4: ATTEND YOUR 1:1 ZOOM MEDICAL RECORD REVIEW
During your Zoom consultation, the provider reviews your submitted records, discusses your medical history and symptoms, and evaluates whether a Nexus Letter may be medically appropriate for your condition(s) based on the evidence.
STEP 5: SELECT THE APPROPRIATE NEXUS LETTER OPTION
If the provider determines that a Nexus Letter is medically appropriate, you will be directed to purchase the correct Nexus Letter option based on the number of conditions supported.
Each Nexus Letter addresses a single condition and constitutes an independent medical opinion.

STEP 6: YOUR FILE ENTERS THE WRITING QUEUE
Once your Nexus Letter purchase is completed, your case enters the provider writing queue. Nexus Letters are drafted using the medical records and information reviewed during your Medical Record Review and 1:1 consultation.
Turnaround Time Notice (Important)
Standard turnaround time for Nexus Letters is approximately up to 4 weeks from the date your Nexus Letter purchase is completed and all required documentation has been received.
Delays in submitting medical records, incomplete documentation, or the need for additional clarification may extend the turnaround time beyond 4 weeks. Writing timelines begins only after all required records and information are available for review.
