Jacqueleen “Jackie” Knight

Jacqueleen “Jackie” Knight, FNP-C, is a Lead Clinical Provider at Veteran Nexus Advisors (VNA), bringing extensive experience in Veteran disability evaluations, medical evidence review, and independent medical opinions.

As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Jackie has worked directly with Veterans navigating the medical aspects of the VA disability process. Her professional background includes performing Compensation & Pension examinations, evaluating claimed medical conditions, reviewing complex medical records, and developing medical opinions based on the individual Veteran’s history and available evidence.

Before joining Veteran Nexus Advisors, Jackie founded Relief Health Group, where her work focused on providing clinical services to the Veteran community. That experience gave her a valuable perspective on both sides of the medical evaluation process and reinforced the importance of thorough evidence review, objective clinical judgment, and clearly explained medical reasoning.

Jackie understands that a well-supported medical opinion requires more than identifying a diagnosis. It requires careful consideration of the Veteran’s medical history, relevant service and post-service evidence, current clinical findings, medical literature, and the relationship between those elements.

At VNA, Jackie works directly with Veterans while contributing to the clinical standards that guide medical record review, independent medical opinions, and provider documentation. Her approach emphasizes individualized evaluation, evidence-based clinical reasoning, and careful attention to the details that can be overlooked within lengthy or complex medical records.

As a Lead Clinical Provider, Jackie also supports VNA’s commitment to consistent clinical quality and provider excellence, helping ensure that each medical opinion is approached independently and supported by the evidence specific to the Veteran being evaluated.

Her focus is straightforward: listen to the Veteran, understand the complete medical picture, evaluate the evidence objectively, and provide a medical opinion that clearly explains the clinical reasoning behind the conclusion.
